Burn Ban in effect July 10th. 2017

Burn Ban effective Monday July 10th. 2017

Due to conditions and heavy fire fuel load, the Payette Fire Department hereby issues a ban on open burning effective July 10th. 2017.

The burn ban coincides with bans being implemented at the same in Payette City, Payette Rural Fire, New Plymouth Fire Department, Sand Hollow Fire Department and Malheur County, Oregon. This also includes all BLM Lands in Payette County and Malheur County.

The ban includes all open burning, including burn barrels, fire pits, and recreational burning until further notice. Exceptions may be made for agricultural burns upon request to the fire authority of the local jurisdiction.

The City of Payette will continue to allow recreational and camp fires with a permit obtainable from Payette City Hall, Payette Fire Department or here on our website.

If there are any questions regarding the burn ban, please contact us at 208-642-6028.
